Meditation

According to Psychology Today, "The brain waves of meditators show why they are healthier.  Neuroscientists have found that meditators shift their brain activity to different areas of the cortex-brain waves in the stress-prone right frontal cortex move to the calmer left frontal cortex.  In other words, they are calmer and happier than before."

Meditation Class, Tuesdays 6:30-8pm.

Come join us for an introduction to Meditation.  We will explore breathing techniques to calm the mind, sound and mantras to focus the attention and guided visualization to explore deeper levels of consciousness.  We will use imagery and visualization during meditation to create deeper states of relaxation and greater awareness of the movement of energy within the body.  This class will call on Daoist meditations taught to my by my teacher, Dr. Jerry Alan Johnson, as well as techniques from Tibetan buddhism, Yogic philosophy and more.

The class will alternate locations between a private home in Carmel and a private home off Los Laureles (above Carmel Valley).
